I think it's time to actually ask: Why do y'all hate Ciara? And by y'all i mostly mean straight men who for some reason always have something to say about Ciara's music, her fashion style, her being married to Russell and just basically her existence.
There are also a few women as well who dislike Ciara, and neither of it seems to be for her artistry...
I'm personally starting to feel that people don't like Ciara simply because she not only leveled up after leaving Future but she leveled up in a way that he can never compete.
She was "saved" by a rich man so it seems that she wasn't deserving of it? When she is a Grammy-award winning artist who has sold over 45 million albums with a $25 million net worth, a career that was established before she got with either of them, and is also a published and signed fashion model who is currently the muse of designer Dundas.
She is a woman was INDEPENDENT before both relationships and is still INDEPENDENT INSIDE HER MARRIAGE, WHILE ALSO BEING A PARTNER WITH HER HUSBAND.
Just like Beyonce and Jay Z, Michelle and Barack, David Beckham and Victoria "Posh Spice" Beckham and yes Jada Pinkett & Will Smith. It's quite interesting that Ciara's new song is getting backlash because she's happily married and while I personally don't like to compare the 2, Beyonce not only released one of her biggest and signature singles, Single Ladies, while she was secretly married to Jay Z at the time, she also continued to empower women and encourage them to be strong and independent without the same backlash. It's very interesting.
So again, why do y'all hate Ciara?
